I'm Alison Burton, a yoga and mindfulness instructor, researcher and educator.
I'm able to help you learn how to master your mind and body.
I can show you how to manage your stress so that you can re-engage with what's most important and find balance in your life.
My path has taken me on a somewhat unconventional route from finance practitioner to wellbeing instructor!
I've practised yoga over a thirty year period, obtaining my first yoga 300 hour teacher training qualification in 2017 and completing a further 300 hour training in 2020. As a busy parent and professional I found mindfulness practices transformative both personally and in the workplace, and so completed Mindfulness Teacher Training alongside a masters programme. I take a keen interest in mental health being Mental Health First Aid trained and undertaking trauma sensitivity CPD. I currently teach mindfulness and yoga alongside my PhD research in this field and employment with the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. I opened the Breathing Space studio in the Isle of Man, so that you could experience the benefits of these practices in order to take steps to improve your own health.
