I'm Alison Burton, an educator, researcher, yoga and mindfulness instructor;
I'm able to help you learn how to master your mind and body.
I can show you how to manage your stress so that you can re-engage with what's most important and find balance in your life.
My path has taken me along a somewhat unconventional route from accountant to wellbeing instructor! I've practised yoga for thirty years, training to teach vinyasa yoga in 2017 and am now close to completing my 500 hour Yoga Alliance certification. I found mindfulness experiences to be life-changing and so completed teacher training with the Centre of Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University. I opened the Breathing Space studio in order to share the benefits of these practices with others.
I'm committed to continuous professional development and I undertake regular mindfulness teaching supervision. I also adhere to Good Practice Guidelines in order to maintain my listing with the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches.
"Ali's course has given me useful tools to help with dealing with stress and stressful situations in everyday life. She is very professional, but with a friendliness that makes you feel welcome and able to share"
